Fridrih nice, 2005.
(with Aleksandar Gligic)
Gallery: Art Clinic, Novi Sad

The surname of famous German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche in Serbian sounds like the word ‘is growing / sprouting’. The artist is making pun on words with the title of this work: ”Friedrich Nietzsche / Friedrich is growing / sprouting.”

… On a stand under a transparent cubicle, a plant which grows is exhibited (Fridrih Niche/ is growing), and also exhibited there is a photo documentation of Stojanovic’s recent exhibition introducing his work in Singapore where he also displayed an object in a shape of a decorative cup with an inscribed text reading: “To Marko Stojanovic for a successful representation of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, grateful citizens of Novi Sad”.
